I'm not sure he is in all that bad a shape, to my ears his performance was fine...maybe he is just preserving his voice now that he is getting a bit older.

to be honest the pics aren't that great - pretty hard conditions to shoot and only got the first song where none of the cool visuals/lights are on. anyway enough excuses :)
You're awfully hard on yourself, because those pictures are amazing! They look very professional. Might you have a link to listen to Justin's show on JJJ?

Thanks!

It's on air this Saturday at 5pm (AEST) - you'll be able to stream it live from here and it will be archived a few days later here.

I'll try and find out whether they are putting up the interview with Justin on breakfast as well. There were a few interesting things mentioned like that the bird in his photo in the album artwork is a wedge-tailed eagle (well I thought it was interesting...)

No, what's Justin's show? Is it a guest host or a J-File etc? I also missed him on breakfast cause I fucking hate Myf and try not to listen to JJJ breakfast!

I agree - it is totally awesome. Jordan (my drummer son) cried.

Speaking of which, how awesome was Danny's use of the gong in Lateralus? I've seen a video of it before, but it was another to see it in person...awesome.

Re: 2007/01/24 - Sydney, AUS - Entertainment Centre

First things first. It's an absolute privilege seeing Tool live. The show at the Entertainment centre was tight - no nonense tool at their best. The rework of Stinkfist and 46&2 were awesome and demonstrates the bands ability to continually develop their music. Hands up if you got a shiver down your spine listeniing to the opening song!
This is aside, a lot of talk post show was about the set list and the duration of it. Should they of played longer and should we of heard more of Lateralus? For me, The Grudge was stand out song sorely missed. I could go on and on about songs missed on Aenmia, but i won't go there.
It's irrelevant now, given the awesome - crowd pleasing set list played at the Sydney BDO.
It was great seeing so many tool fans out in force. I'm proud to say I'm a passionate supporter of the thinking man's metal band. May they keep producing thought provoking, industry shaking art.
Can't wait until Dec!
