I think this is incredibly important, and its likely that at least part of the meaning of the song is related to the Genie, if not all of it.
The "Damn my eyes" part... I still think its different every time.

He's saying, damn my eyes, because my eyes are Jambi eyes. Meaning his eyes see things, wish for them to be a certain way, but screw it up.
