The security guard who stood in front of me is actually a friend. We met at the McFarlin concert. He said that Maynard's manager requested the stool so not to bend over putting more stress on his diaphragm but the stage manager over-ruled his decision so that the floor visuals on Maynard's platform were completely visible. I listened to the whole conversation on the his radio. Pretty Hilarious though!
