Just an idea, but how about for the above line:
Stare at the ...
Transmit 'till ...
Sing to the ...
... death rattle.
i.e. 3 phrases that could each share the "death rattle" ending? It makes more sense to me as "transmittal"=the act of transmitting, and isn't really something you can stare at. But I'm probably stupid wrong...
