^ Sorry to be a grammar nazi once more, but "shun" is not a past tense verb for "shine". The correct word would be "shone". "Shun" is a present tense verb and means to reject or avoid someone or something.
Anyways, what's wrong with the more obvious "I'll let it shine to guide you safely on your way..." ?
