To me, and I stress "to me" because I don't really know, this song is sort of an expansion on Opiate. I'm not so sure that Christ is being used as a metaphor, or if it's an imitation Christ being used as the metaphor. You have this figure who mirrors Christ in so many ways, but there are blatant discrepancies between how Christ was represented in the bible, and how the figure in Eulogy is represented. The figure in Eulogy is using Christ. He is not Christ, he is using Christ. It's a figure that is paralleling himself with Christ but failing to follow his example. Thus, the hypocrisy. I don't think it's a specific person. It's the televangalists, it's the L. Ron Hubbards, and it's anyone who has claimed false divinity. To some, that might actually BE Christ, but that's for the listener to decide. It's not the song's immediate intention.
