Okay....I'm stumped. y'all got me thinking, now and i deciced to do a little reseach so i could get my facts straight. so far now i've read that the song is about jesus, bill hicks l. ron hubbard, and strangely enough, paul d'amour. ive checked out the lyrics once again, so i'd have it fresh in my mind, and in my opinion it is not a eulogy to one single person. Tool songs have many meanings, and i don't think that this particular song applies to any one man. when i look at the lyrics i see a positive as well as a negative angle to "martyrdom". it seems to me there is praise for those who go to their graves dying for what they believed in, but near the end they are blasting at those who died spreading hypocrisy. That's what i can come up with for now. This IS a tough one, but thank you guys for encouraging me to take another look
