If you fly into Islip/Macarthur Airport it's a little over 30 miles away, it would probably be cheaper to rent a car than pay for a cab. There are a bunch of hotels listed on the Coliseum's site

The Marriott, I think, is right in the parking lot of the venue, though. Try craigslist, there are people selling tix there but I don't know if you can trust them. I actually found someone on Ebay to trade with, I traded 2 of my 7th row floor tix for the Red Hot Chili Peppers for A1 2nd Row tix :)
Hi, by the way--long time lurker...my first Tool show too. They've been at the top of my list for a LOOOONG time but this is the first one for me--although I've seen APC twice. (not the same, I know).
