Catering whims, alternating moods’,
sheepish grays screaming like a banshee.
Selfless pride turns the tables in rancid forms.

Crimson tongue, devilish eyes, froths bubbling . . .
Liquids’ passive gold.

A voice calling the insane home.

Slip further.
Slips further away the hands cannot reach.
Synthetic fibers, frayed strands, the heart’s
rolling over falling apart.
The nocturnal soul seethes like an endless sieve.
Poison blankets the existing passageways.
