Re: 2006/08/30 - Englewood, CO - Coors Amphitheater

Finally recovering from the Tool show wednesday night in Denver. :)

Great band. Tool was EXCELLENT. Very nice.
Fiddlers/Coors theatre was the only downside. If you're not at around the 15th row center then the sound in that place really starts going to shit. We were up on the lawn and the sound swirling (low volume + wind) and the clipping was crap. The clipping was really bad. Sound ordinances there are the worst. 'Vicarious' for example.... cool intro builds up to all instruments pounding into that first note of the jam together AND IT GET'S CLIPPED OFF 'cause the decibals peaked. WTF! BS! DEATH TO FIDDLERS GREEN. LONG LIVE TOOL!
Tool was really into it and they played a very fkn great show. Spot on. Tool sounded/looked kick ass. Fkn AMAZING!
So besides the lower volumes and clipping required by law at Fiddlers/Coors (which isn't Tool's fault) it was an excellent show. So impressive. They played about 1 hr, 45 mins.
I'll never go to Fiddlers/Coors theatre again though.

Maynard said "See you again in the new year... Scouts honor."
Hopefully at Red Rocks next time. See you there. :)
