it's possible your ears had adjusted enough by the time you got back to the car that the cd sounded fine. considering you had no problems listening to it then i would not worry at all about any ear damage. welcome to my hell as a med student though. the more you know, the more problems you think you have. like a previous poster mentioned, you probably just got stuck in a dead zone or something....that or your standards are just much higher than the people around you who you questioned.
