The Tool Page: Opinion - View Single Post - 2006/09/29 - Mansfield, MA

It took me 2 hours to get there, and I got cuaght in the middle of a motorcycle and 6-7 cop car chase in Mansfield center, but it was quite worth the effort to see my first Tool show.

I had to enjoy some drunk ramblings, and some goddamn retarded heavy girls dancing like...tools...for a bit, but it was otherwise wonderful. No serious assholes, though.

I enjoyed Isis, and the Maynardisms, and the visuals, but the drum and bass show was perfect. Danny hit every note and then a few more. The extra fills at the end of 46&2 where great. I'm a bass player, so I was watchign Justin very closely, and I was really impressed by his ability to reporoduce his tones live. Everytime he'd come through extra clear when the guitar wasn't roaring, I'd shit myself just a little.

I was in 10 E, on the aisle with friends, and we couldn't see Adam becuase of a pole. But he doesn't do much, so I didn't mind. I liked Justin's extra rocking out...he never used to do that.

My hand hurts from pounding the seats. Great show.
