Most of the people in the front, who got trampled, had been there since before the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. (I got there at 7:30.) You fucking laggers need to stay in the back if you can't get there early.

Oh man, I totally agree. Being in the middle of a Gwar concert wasn't nearly intense as this crowd. I stood front row the entire 7 hours of street scene for fuckin' Tool and eventually had to have a security guard pull me out before getting crushed (I'm 5'4" 130, but still can handle a fair amount of moshing).
Of course I refused to reposition my spot until Maynard came out. Nothing like rising above the crowd during the climax to Stinkfist. And shit, Lateralus was spectacular! |
