After 6 months, I still have yet to read why the final line in the chorus isn't
"They fight til they die over wars, over lies and greed."
That makes infinitely more sense than anything involving writing or whatever the hell has been mentioned here, and it takes care of all the "syllables" that haven't been accounted for in others' suggestions.
