I dont believe that he is epileptic, cryptic maybe but epileptic no. At other tool shows ive seen and at apc gigs they use strobe lighting, thats way worse than a camera flash for people with epilepsy.

Basically Maynard tries to foster an emotional connection to the audience and I guess he must feel that he cannot do that with camera flashes and mobile phone lights in his face. I can understand his point and the need to create an atmosphere but the heavy handed way that they get security to enforce this at their gigs is all wrong. At the end of the day, it wouldnt be something I would do at a tool gig but people are taking photos cause these guys are their heroes and the want a visual reminder of the gig they paid money to attend.

So yeah, i think he fibbed a bit. Naughty Maynard.
