most has already been said, but i will say i thought the show was awesome. opiate i thought was their best song of the night. what stood out to me was the general disposition of the band, particularly maynard. i saw them at the paramount when they were with king crimson and they definately had a different attitude at that show. for lack of a better cliche, at the paramount they seemed rather standoffish and "inspired". but on sunday night they just looked like they were having a fun time. it was especially evident towards the end when they were hugging and thanking the crowd.

maynard's quotes were also fantastic. i am surprised no one has mentioned my favorite of the night: "wake up you drunk bitches" (if someone already had, my bad).

it also seems very apparent that the musical selections, including the extended version of stinkfist and schism and the mini merkaba, feature danny more than they have in the past? i am by no means complaining, but i wonder if it's done on purpose.
