This was my first Tool show. All I can say is I hope Wednesday night is better...

The Big Day Out crowd was fucking terrible. Between losers creating a massive crush where I was for no reason (front row behind the D), people making circle pits (wtf?) and the crowd being generally quiet and not very interested - it made for a pretty weak set.

Tool played alright, but what the hell was with Maynard not singing the last half of Vicarious? It was almost like he couldn't be bothered (he went to put his jacket on and get a drink?). The rest of the set was quite good though, the lighting and screens were amazing.

I'm glad I have tickets for Wednesday night though. I think with a Tool-fan only crowd, the vibe should be a lot better.
