I always thought it was something like

Pure as we begin
Here we have a stone
Gather in place, it rains soon
Sheltered us a home

It almost sounds like "gather a place" and then "arrange so" or something like that. I think it is "sheltered us a home" though. When you say sheltered us, it sounds like shelter-duss. Just use that in rhythm. I could be wrong though...
