Lachrymology
This is far fetched and I haven't done near enough research to back it up - but from what I've heard and discussed with friends is that the reoccuring water theme may have something to do with lachrymology - or therapy through crying, something the band has some aparent interest in. The water may be symbolic of the tears being shed, especially evident in Undertow and Aenima. Just a thought and I would much appreciate it if someone could help me confirm or deny such theories.
