And to not play a SINGLE song from UNDERTOW or OPIATE is extremely disappointing. The reason for this, though, is, as many fans seem all-too-easily to forget, is that TOOL DID have a DIFFERENT BASSIST during the recording of those masterpieces, and, in a way, was a completely different band back then.

I agree with all of your post except this part. Up until 2009 (the last time I saw them before 1/28/12) they were playing at least one tune every night off Undertow. I've seen Opiate, Flood, Sober, Prison Sex, Crawl Away and Bottom played in the Justin Chancellor era. I think it has less to do with who's playing bass as it does the band more changing their philosophies and leaving some of those tunes in the past. (in my humble opinion)
