For all visitors to Charlotte: located to the west of Charlotte is Gaston county. Gaston county is a mostly rural "old south" area that happens to be the birthplace of Fred Durst. In fact, Durst lived in Gastonia until junior year of high school, when his father was foced forced to resign from the sherrifs dept. Although there are many fine people living in Gaston county, and parts of it are quite nice, there are a disprapotionate number of young men who look, talk, dress and act like Mr. Durst. In 2009. I believe that every one of those young men were at the Tool show last night. They are no longer represenative of Charlotte as a whole, and the were thankfully not the majority of those in attendance last night, but they were there, as they are in many rock shows and they tend to really make their presence known to the detrement of those around them. As long as you realize that they cant help it, and they really are mostly harmless, you can begin to ignore them and have a great time at the show.
