Typically when you haven't released an album in almost 6 years, you don't go on sporadic tours selling expensive tickets for shows playing the same (or slightly different) set lists unless you just want to make some money.
I'm sure you'll use Rush or Pink Floyd or some other band as an example that I'm wrong, but you know what I mean. Tool is still working on new music (supposedly). Its like "oh cool, a Tool announcement aaaaand its a less than 20 date tour."
