Abel

This was my first Tool show.

I find that attempting to describe the emotions I experienced when finally seeing the guys in person for the first time is a pointless practice, but nonetheless, I was moved beyond any other moment in my life thus far. My friend and I were in the front D, but we managed to have an amazing view without being crushed by the overwhelming presence of shirtless, angry men with dreadlocks.

They were so tight. Everything was perfect. There were a few 'low' points, if you could call them that. I didn't really get into Schism or the Pot as much as I thought I would. Aenema was definitely the best song of the night, hands down. Seriously, the whole crowd was into it, giving it everything they had, moving as one. Lateralus was also amazing, and Opiate was a nice treat.

The BDO seemed, as someone mentioned before, to be somewhat of a 'taste-tester', so I'm really amped for the Sydney show.
