Psyche patients are often seen as being worthless or lost hope. Many patients receive medicine that doesn't make them better, but rather makes them oblivious to their suroundings. There has been a connection with psyche patients and people who have claimed to have seen UFO's. I think this song is possibly about the way someone might be perfectly normal, but as soon as they witness something that is beyond our understanding, others automatically place him in the category of hysteria.
