Dope - would have missed this were it not for the 'bump'

I only have a personal account of the experience - not bothered to capture a moment on film, I bathed in the slow trickle of time surrounding the ephemeral moment (99.97% in St. Louis, MO)

In the hour leading up, the shading of gray was nearly imperceptible. Perhaps it was from being in an unfamiliar city, but I could tell something was slightly out of the ordinary. A sense of hyper-awareness settled in, leading me into a quasi-psychedelic state. It stayed bright and sunny until just a few minutes before the eclipse.
