Hey, here's the link of my recording of 46 and 2, this is it in its barebones stages, and I had to do some jury-rigging to record it at all ... so the quality isn't that great.

ANd there are a couple mistakes, and I did deviate from the way Justin plays it, I experimented with pop, and most of the time it's in the higher octave.

Not half bad. I'd say there are more than a couple of mistakes, but when you play smoothly it sounds very nice. My complaint would mostly be the timing quirks when you reach for that high note at the end of the riff.... But with a little practice you should be fine.

Anyway, thought you might appreciate a working link:

Thanks you, I was waiting for that.

I think I have to go with psilomind here.
It sounds pretty neat, good stuff...
But you could need more practice on some parts, especially the higher notes.

But still... it's pretty good.

You need to slow the whole thing down a little, and try to get a punchier, less bassy sound out of your amp. Justin also get's a bit of distortion in his sound. Also, if you're not using a pick (don't know if you are or not), you're not gonna get that same sound that Justin get's. I know the part on bass, and I always use a pick to play it. It sounds dull and the strings can't resonate enough when played with your fingers.

I'm not nessicarily going for Justin's sound though. I'm taking the part and keeping the notes, fiddling with the octaves, fiddling with the effects until I get it something I can say "This is my version of it." Yes I used my fingernail like a pick, I like the sound much better than a pick, but *shrug* could just be me.

I'll put a lot of practice on it and hopefully steal Cubasis this weekend to add effects to it :) Thanks for the suggestions, and thanks for the link psylomind

i liked the way you played the main into riff, it's like you added notes on top of it or something... though i wasn't too fond of the rest of it and there were too many mistakes.

but i sure know how making mistakes goes.....
