i think it's about finding the way back home... back to the One.
I especially think the hidden lyrics add to this intepretation:

I wish that I could see you
Turn and run to play
Dreams are fading
Carry my ancient soul
Carry me into the light

Aim your body heavenly
Enduring a memory
I'll come to your light
Hold your light
Hold your light where I can see it

Oh, how beautiful. You have a lovely way of thinking.

11 Is the number of a man.
Jimmy is supposed to me a man.
He could be 11 years old.

1111...1111...1111...

'11' is pretty clearly about reunification.

"Hold your light,
Eleven lead me through each gentle step
By step, by inch by loaded memory
I'll move to heal
As soon as pain allows so we can reunite and both move on together.
Hold your light,
Eleven lead me through each gentle step
By step, by inch by loaded memory 'til
One and one are one,
Eleven, so
Glow, child, glow... I'm heading back home."

Seems rather obvious that he's looking to reunite with whom he is speaking - the one holding the light, the one that will guide him back home.

When he has healed, when he is one and whole again, he will be able to return to the one he is speaking to, and reunite with him/her. One and one (Maynard and to whom he is speaking) will be whole again. One and one will be... one.
