Desk drumming - Awesome, who needs danny?
Vocals - You have way more balls than maynard. Great job
Guitars - I didn't like the intro but the rest was cool

I'm in love with the vocals, maynard doesn't have a dime on that lovely set of lungs!

Why not write your own songs?

Why not write your own songs?

i've recorded over 200 original songs you ignorant fuck, re-interpreting other peoples work every now and then provides me with a fun and interesting alternative to the hard work that song writing requires.

Drums sound like they need to be tuned but otherwise pretty great.

Sounds like you don't want any criticism..........

The Fecal Brothers strike again! Glad to see you've been able to keep that tight unit together. You guys are better than ever. Wow, mates.....pure genius. That drum kit must have really set your drummer back a few bucks, eh?

Okay, I was trying to be nice by simply asking why you didn't choose to channel your creativity into something original versus copying someone else's work. But since you responded so hatefully and called me an ignorant fuck, I'll now give you what you asked for. This is my honest opinion:

1) I really like the name of your band.
2) Your vocals need a LOT of work. You can't sing. In fact, you suck at it. I do too, so I'm not mocking you.
3) The guitar is terrible, just lousy.
4) The drumming has potential provided you do it on a real drum kit instead of the kitchen table.

Post something original and we'll let you know if it's any better. And, finally, if you want to hear what a respectable Tool cover sounds like, go here: http://toolnavy.com/showthread.php?t=40327

Jeff's effort is far superior to yours.

Sincerely,

As a long standing fan of the fecal brothers, i feel a duty to argue for the greatness of this cover.

1) I really like the name of your band.
.
2) Your vocals need a LOT of work. You can't sing. In fact, you suck at it. I do too, so I'm not mocking you.I don't know what you have against aussie accents, but i love them, anyway we should everyone try and imitate maynard. also, at the climax of the song there is real emotion in his voice, not the half asked fake emotion of maynard
3) The guitar is terrible, just lousy.the ability to play with flexible timing is a virtue
4) The drumming has potential provided you do it on a real drum kit instead of the kitchen table.Fuck, the table drumming is what made the song, do you have some grudge against originality?

This was so good I burnt 10,000 days again but with this version of Vicarious instead of the original.

that was so bad, that was almost mocking tool with how much it sucked. your vocals were terrible, and i could BARLEY tell that was vicarious. the guitar was, minimally good, but was hardly the song you were *trying* to cover. (work on your timing a little more, then you'd be a lot better) hell, and i didn't even hear any drums, unless you call the sound that sounded like someone slapping there thigh, "drums", there weren't any. and work on your singing a lot more. it was some of the worst i've ever heard.

Ok, first of all, why is there one guitar in each speaker? It sounds good at some points, but sometimes it seems like the guitars aren't playing exactly together. Also, the guitar tone on the right guitar sounds less like tool than the other.

Also, there are points where the song seems to speed up or slow down, and occasionally one of the guitars will stop playing or will get ahead of the drums. Don't worry it's not quite so noticeable. I also think that you should try to make the vocals just a little more like the original. It sounds like you're getting further away from the mic and then closer to it. I like the way you sing it too, though.

I really liked your take on the drums though. It's almost like if Danny played Vicarious on the tabla, except it's kind of muffled just like my mind is when I have my "eyes on the t.v."

This version is pretty good, but I bet you guys could make it great with just like one or two more takes.

lol

fecal bros songs are best listened to in a compressed format, thus we don't save it in a higher quality, sorry.
