When Maynard says "as below, so above and beyond" he is almost certainly talking about Hermetic law, which says "As above, so below; As within, so without." This is taken to have a sort of ying yang meaning to it. Opposites are identical in nature but different in degree. The fact that Maynard begins with "as below" doesn't necessarily schew the meaning of the law because it's talking about polarities. Then again, it could be meant to change the meaning. An equal interpretation could be that we create our own reality, a common new age concept. "As below" being us "so above and beyond" being reality and the universe, etc "I imagine" we create, "drawn outside the lines of reason" reality not based on rules or structure.
