What I get from this song is a strong identification and recognition of the origin of dual conciousness (the I and the thou etc.). It shows where the one-ness, constituting non-dual conciousness, was split into two 1's, thus deviding itself, making 11. "Showing me where it all began, 11" - in essence saying this division of self is where problems amd disunification began - this occuring when we look away and turn our heads when confronted with the "face of [our] own stability"

More than most Tool songs, this one has many refernces to personal matters of Maynard's or the band's, corresponding with these deeper processes. I strongly believe no song of Tool is completely about specific happening or event, but a universal maessage, this one stating...This is where i was split in two, now I'm "heading back home" (where it all began), to become "one" again. E-mail please if you thoughts or criticisms. Thanks you.
