Work schmerk...you must trancend and party.

See you bishes at the show...I'll be in section 103, row 2....:)

How did everyone else make out on tix?? I went nuts and ordered about 5 pairs, but Ticketbastard cancelled all but one pair of floor and lower level.

piston390
05-15-2007, 06:29 PM
I ordered 3 floor tix. 1 for me and 2 for my friends. That's all I need.

I ended up getting tix for the club level, right besides the stage, on adam and maynards side. Hope they're decent seats. I've only been on the floor at the xcel.

This concert is going to be so awesome. If you have not seen TOOL before, get off of your ass and get tickets. The last two times TOOL has played Minnesota, they kicked so much ass. I have no doubt in my mind that whatever happens, or whatever they play, I will be leaving very satisfied. TOOL RULES!

FLOOR!!!! I was on the floor for all six shows this tour! I feel pretty damn lucky.

This will be my final TOOL concert this time around. Let's hope that there will be another album and another tour before ........

totally. i m o, one of the best feelings ever is in between songs at a concert when you're waiting to hear the first notes of the next song. and when they play the song you wish for its a hundred times better.

Anyone know if melt banana is opening for this show? Ticketmaster still says opening band "tba". I will shart my pants if they play pushit. I have a feeling they will mix it up for us a little bit seeing its their 3rd time here within 13 months. Either way I wont complain, just happy to be seeing them again ; ) Cant stand it when people bitch about the setlist. Tool is easily one of the best bands of our generation, so soak it up while you still can.

"BIG BUSINESS has two guys in it. It is spelled here in capital letters so you know we're talking about a serious band. Jared Warren plays the bass guitar and sings. He used to be in this band KARP and then he was in this other band for awhile name of TIGHT BROS FROM WAAAY BACK WHEN. Coady Willis plays the drums and sometimes yells and stuff. He used to be in the MURDER CITY DEVILS and probably some other bands you haven't ever heard of."

LOL! Too bad they kind of suck....

good food.

it's an irish tavern, but it has more of a sports bar atmosphere, as well as all the standard sports bar meals. (burgers, hot sandwiches, etc) i go there before any event at the xcel. its pretty much a ritual.

hmmmm so its a bar then? Can you eat there if you're not 21/is the food worth it if i can't have a beer there? Otherwise I'll hit up white castle or something while i'm in the cities.

martyr_02
06-25-2007, 01:42 PM
the last fourshows they've played

20th: right in two

22nd: right in two

23rd: flood

24th: right in two

i give it an 80% chance that we get to hear pushit, and I really hope I'm right.

edit: then again they haven't played pushit since the fourth of june, but i still say its time they played it live again.

the_shrike29

Either way, as long as Adam changes guitars after Rosetta Stoned

"Right In Two" is very good live. It's hard to get into at first after getting your teeth blown out by "Rosetta Stoned". It actually seems to have been better off after "Schism" as both songs start off slow and end with a bang.

"Flood" should go back to being an opener like on the "Lateralus" tour, it's a hell of a way to start things off.

i'll be with this guy wearing some other band t-shirt. haven't quite decided yet. but i know it's not going to be the white tour shirt now that this he's wearin it. cuz that would just be a fashion no-no.

Is anyone not impressed with the opening bands for this show and the last one at Target Center? Isis and Big Business both were not at all enjoyable to me. Its like Tool either thinks its funny to make us listen to it, or that in comparison to that it makes them look even more amazing. I would usually say it was just me but the people next to me were openly booing Big Business while they were on stage. And the drums for Big Business was really the only thing you could hear coming from them.

This is why I hate Tool fans.

I'd say it's more "like" Tool always picks unique and interesting bands they genuinely like and appreciate to open for them and their fans are so wrapped up in their world of "TOOL TOOL TOOL" that they never give them a snowball's chance in hell. That or they're just a bunch of yahoos who heard Tool on the radio and thought it would be fun to go rock out...you know these people...the ones who sit down whenever the music isn't heavy and loud and kick-ass.

I missed the opening act, who was the drummer on stage with Danny during Schism?

After the show I was practicing my Maynard limbo-like lean back and waving my hat in the air. It was sweet.

Incredible show. Too loud for me though. Kind of difficult to hear Maynard's vocal. The seer impact was just awesome though. Never seen a band make it look so easy.

Best recollection from my drunken mind:
Jambi (one HELL of an opening song, lemme tell you!)
Stinkfist
46&2
WFM
Flood
Lost Keys
Rosetta Stoned
Schism
Lateralus
Vicarious

^^^ probably the wrong order, but we did get Flood.

Maynard: "Hello Minnesota"

"It's good to see all of you again. We've been busy [watching or making] prono tapes. We'll see you soon."

Not sure if that's exactly correct either, but that's all he said.
