Such as mp3s or band page links?

Ummm.... the quotes and the links aren't working here... and probably all of the vB code (i guess) as well.

THANK YOU DAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I should go record that porno-esque song I made up last night.....

and as a belated second thought.... this would be the apporopriate forum to discuss gear related questions, i.e. "what kind of guitar should I get?" and things like "how does Adam do this?"

*salutes dan*
I would have already put up the link to my bands site, but it seems to be nonfunctional...maybe later.

wouldn't it eat up bandwidth and ultimately kill the forums or make them come down more?

Top idea.
Hope it works out well, because it sounds like its got good potential.

If this is anything like the arts section, is there likely to be an *.mp3 upload section? File sizes would be getting pretty big if they were uncompressed, so as pointed out - wouldn't that suck up bandwidth hugely?

Thanks for the forum!

it would be hosted on MY server, so no, that isn't a problem.

My thoughts exactly!

If this is anything like the arts section, that type of discussion
shouldn't domiate this section, not that it would anyway.
As long as there's more music than other, I'm happy.

Peace,

yeah, thnx dan! i noticed you also split up Socialize a bit. i think that will help. anyways, this place has really improved and you should be proud of your work.

i personally like the idea of having gear threads, mp3's, new band threads, show discussions / reviews, basically anything that would interest tech geeks, music enthusiasts, and show-goers. a more centralized place for this (here) would rock (no pun intended).

cool idea but the title made me thing that this thing would be like a recordance of early T.D.N and the stuff that got deleted... and that u had it stashed away somewhere on ur comp

btw, dan, do the old 'deleted' threads still exist on a hard drive somewhere or are they DELETED never to return? cuz i'm sure somebody would consider archiving them.

Don't lie, dan. You know you hide the old TDN files next to your water bong shaped like Marlon Brando.

just upload the whole video, i'd like to see it

if it's under 20 mb just go register for a free site at www.angelfire.com and upload it there and link us to it

very simple

but i don't know of any video editing programs so i can't help you with that.....

i'd like to see the video though.

sweet, thanx a bunch, Dan :)
a suggestion: put a link or sticky with basic instructions so ignorants like me that have little to no knowledge of puters can try and do it ourselves, cuz i sure as heck don't know how to upload anything, or even get my recordings into a format that can be "read" by the puter

just post in Rock & Roll. people will realize it's not Rock and Roll and listen to it anyway.

"Rock & Roll" is only the section title. the sub-title says: "Music by you. Formerly t.d.n Records." - post any genre here, just explain what it is in the thread.

do we need an mp3 upload script?

is this still a valid question? because i would like to see this. if not here where lurkers can potentially spam large files, then maybe in never-land?
