I personally think Maynards vocals in this song are absolutely stunning, and id go as far to say that ive never heard better.
I amnt talking about the actual lyrics, just the sounds he gets on the actual vocals. The echoing, dreamlike quality to them. THey make the song, does anyone have any idea how he managed the particular vocal sound in this song

The secret? Justin doing backup vocals. I think he does a great job, and I hope to hear him singing on the next record.

I've been listening to this one more and more the last few days, and the vocals just appeal to me in one of those odd ways that makes me want to listen to this song repeatedly.

I just got this CD about a week ago, and it is absolutely insane. I knew it would be good, but I somehow didn't expect this much out of it.

*it also helped that I started listening to tracks other than "Third Eye" and "Pushit" repeatedly*

And justin did backing vocals? I thought it was the second guitarist?

Second guitarist? Adam is the guitarist and he sings as well.. I never heard of Justin singing either... wierd.

that is awesome but best vocals ever is during the grudge 'where the grudge like a crown' when hes shouting it, and the heavy drum fills and guitar inbetween "desperate to control"

im talkin the 2nd time, the heavier time, so unbelievably amazing. music doesnt get much better than that moment
