this song is about going through the process of tantra.
i believe most of maynards songs with tool and a perfect circle are about his personal experiences before going through tantra, his experiences while going through it and things he discovered and realized after going through it. i personally didn't know what his lyrics meant until i started going through the process (because of my own experiences) and realized my similarities with tools lyrics, music videos and artwork and also a perfect circles lyrics. i'm actually using them as reference so that i'm not completely lost, because i don't know what is happening to me and if i'm just going insane and self-destructing - i'm going through this alone and i don't know what i'm doing. i'm just happy that i'm actually able to identify with lyrics or someone or something because i never really identified or related with anything before. this is my opinion
