I feel this song is a eulogy to himself -- the old self before he "opened [his] eye". He's looking at his past and realizing that he spent it "ranting and pointing his finger" like a "belligerant fucker" (Swamp Song). With this he had become a martyr that demanded to be worshipped for all the bad things that he had to go through. He thought he was king, wearing "the grudge like a crown" (The Grudge).
"Someone above the ground" is someone who is high - as in on drugs.

Don't you fuckin' lie is a response to Intolerance -- the time when he lied, cheated, and stole.

Remember that Jesus died for /our/ sins, not his own sins. This martyr somehow believed he would die for the crazy things he did. However, "who [is he] to judge or strike [him] down?"
