Just checked on Ticketmaster -- as of May 18, there are still seats available (off the floor). I'm really surprised by that, considering how quickly their show at the Tower (2 years ago) sold out.

True, but the Sovereign Center isn't a very large place -- it's larger than the Tower, I'll grant you that.

The Tower show sold out in a matter of hours, where this show's tickets have been on sale for 6 days now.

Just bought tickets for this show. It will be my first Tool show, and I can't wait. I'm wondering, if anyone has been to the Sovereign Center, or can simply help me out. My seats are in section 118. Will these be good seats?

Also, anyone know how security is there? Can you get away with smoking at your seat?

So, just a question....I have tickets to the show in the 104 section I believe.

But, since it is so far the last part of the U.S. 2nd leg tour before almost a month off before going overseas....do you think we'll hear something special played only for that show? Like they did in '02 with ticks and leeches? Maybe not that....but a extra long set where they incorporate perhaps something like The Grudge?

I know, I'm very hopefully optimistic....but one can wish, right?

Impatient215
05-28-2007, 08:44 PM
Yeah, I think it's best not to hope for anything. Then you're not let down if it doesn't happen. I hear they've been playing Pushit, though. I guess we'll find out in a little over a month...

Undertowing
05-31-2007, 05:44 PM
Just to make sure, do the rows on the floor section start with "AA" instead of "A"? Meaning, "AA" is the front row (not the 27th), "BB" the second, etc. I looked at the arena's website and it didn't get into that detail.

metalforever
06-01-2007, 08:24 AM
im pretty sure it starts with the double-letters being ticketmaster weren't selling any single letters, nor any scalpers sites, which had something like row dd listed as fourth row.

I wasn't originally planning to see Tool anywhere but Baltimore but I was so freaking pleased with the show in Baltimore that I decided to see them again in Reading.

Since it's on a Monday and anyone I know who would have gone is working I'll be solo this time.

3+ hour drive each way alone.

Anyone from Northern Virginia (Fairfax or abouts) wanna car pool? I'll provide some gas money.

Man, I had the opportunity to see Tool in Europe (Italy) last year and I didn't do it. You better believe I am kicking myself over that one.

Fucking balls! Tomorrow night at this time we should be getting ready for Tool to come up on stage. Can't fucking wait!

Security at Sovereign Center.

I have been to a few shows here, but nothing Toolesque. I will admit that I saw Chevelle and another band I will not mention.

Sound quality is great. Trust me, you wont be let down. As long as they have time to tweak their shit, should sound spectacular. Considering they have the day off today, I dont think that will be an issue.

Security. This is posted in order to answer two questions. Smoking. They only have one designated outside smoking area that is without security. It is very small and I am would imagine that it will be packed out there.

Cameras. I can tell you that they are very extensive in their checks to come into the building. Good luck, that's all I can say.

Security in general. I have never been to a show like this at the Sovereign Center in Reading and I am willing to bet right now that there will never be another show like this. They have no idea what's coming tomorrow night as far as security is concerned. I don't think they will have enough people to stop smokers, but they might try. Again, my previous experiences have been tamer shows...... so I wish I could give you a better answer. The last two shows I was at, the security guards really did not give a shit. If that is the case, everyone will be smoking and cameras will be flashing all over the place.

Good luck, be safe, and dont fuck your relative on the way home.

Yeah I think you are safe on both fronts as long as you crotch it. They will not pat your crotch, but if they do, start yelling "RAPE!"

I just can't imagine how they are going to police this thing with security. Should be interesting.

yea... ive got a 10mp digi cam that is so slim and compact. tie the small wrist strap around my button on my shorts and and it sits right below the waist of my shorts not even visible. if i see a wand is used ill hook my keys to the front belt loop and if they come anywhere near patting my crotch ill yell for a supervisor and harassment LOL

Don't worry, there will be NO FLASH used by me during the concert. We all know that is a huge deal for Maynard :)

Oh and as far as the show. Tool shows aren't really "rowdy" shows. a few people mosh, but not that much. Mainly people are stoned, trippin or just dancing and experiencing the music. Second show on this tour and we saw them in D.C. back in september.

ho-ly sh*t what an awesome show! Devinthedude hooked me up with some awesome tickets so me and my girlfriend got to see the show last minute! the setlist was something like:

Jambi
Stinkfist (extended)
Forty Six & 2
Schism (extended)
Lost Keys (no "excuse me doctor" dialogue but i don't think they ever do or at least not the other 2 times i heard the song live)
Rosetta Stoned (even after knowing all the words i still couldn't keep up with singing along live!)
Flood (glad they played it!)
they did a weird instrumental thing it might have been Useful Idiot, before going into Wings for Marie/10,000 Days
Lateralus (extended drum solo with the other drummer guy, who maynard sprayed toilet paper all over then put potted trees around his set, while this guy in a labcoat gave Justin beer after beer, what i'm assuming was beer anyway)
and they closed with Vicarious...

but yeah, probably the BEST time i've ever seen Tool! (Saw them at the Tweeter Center last year, and in AC last month) thanks again Devin for the awesome tickets!
