I'm not sure if this is relevant to this forum or not, since I'm a little new here, but I wanted to share a few things I've come up with.

I played around with a few photoshop filters trying to get a fire look alike. There's no running theme here, I just liked the result.

This was a sketch I came up with today, which pretty much explains how I feel about the state of the world.

Feel free to criticise, though I am just starting out with drawing experimentally so its bound to be "flawed"... if there's even such a term in art.
Also, do let me know if this is inapropriate.

What do you have with the numbers?
Do they have some special meaning?

0158
82517
1594

But, it looks cool, I like the hand reaching out for the... Green Thingy!

I'd love to say there was a deeper meaning... but I just put the numbers in to fill it out some more.
I think 82517 was the name on the top of a train in an old x-files episode, but it was a long time ago and I could be completely mistaken.

Very very nice, i dont like the finger tho, its too jarring for me, but the flames are fantastic, explain if you dont mind sharing your secrets tell me how this was done. Like what did you cast the filters over and what filters did you use.

I used black and white... clouds
then adjusted the levels (or just auto levels).. it gives it more contrast, and also makes it look a lot more cloudy...
then in the adjust levels section, you can adjust the colours (if you're in RGB mode) red, green, and blue... I just played around with these until I came up with a decent red appearance. It was pretty much experimentation.
then the main filter I used after that was... let me check... yep, Brush Stokes - Accented edges.... that gives the clouds a layered sort of appearance.
Then I used Stylise - Wind, which as it suggests, makes it look like wind.
For the green I just copied a section of the texture onto a new layer and adjusted the hue (colour) to green. I also used a layer mask with a gradient from transparent to err... non-transparent.

Its a pretty cheap trick once you know it, but I was impressed with how it turned out. Hope that helps you out some.

thanks man, i'm most impressed with stuff that i cant figure out how its created, usually most stuff is pretty easy to tell, but i was lost with yours. Ill borrow your techniques and consider it my art lession for the day. Thanks
