jimmy as compared to the book 'the giver'

i made a comaprison to Lateralus to the giver a couple days ago. Now i'd like to show how jimmy is compared to is as well. In the book (if youve read it) the little boy jonas is eleven years old, just like the subject (or maynard) or the song and are many other connections having to do with this song and the giver, probubly to many to write down but if you've read the book you will start to realize them as i did.

i have read the book 'The Giver' and there are some slight connections between it and the song. For example Jonas who is at first eleven turns twelve, and has to take on new responsibility, almost giving up his childhood, hence relating to 'eleven and she was gone'. but i think that this connection is quite slight. but it is still an interesting read..,
