I think that the song is about realiy and how clouded most peoples perception is . Where told what to think " that drugs are bad Ect ect " and that we should do what we are told . I smoke but I dont abuse it . Most people dont bother with questioning things to much beacuse as a whole , we are rewarded for conforming and ostrisised for going aginst the majority . We have free will but when do we relly use it . I think that what hes trying to convey in the Album is a need for change and 3rd eye is what happens with that change . Its clearing out the mess and being able to see and think clearly and truly live freely in mind body and soul .

Very true. I think that this is about seeing clearly, understand yourself - how you do it is up to you, whether it involves drugs or not is your choice, what Tool may say is only their idea, and you should choose for yourself (which is, i think we can agree, one of Tool's most predominant messages)
