What is your favorite line in this song?

My favorite line has to be:

"I feel alive when you hold me; down"

It just speaks so many emotions at one time. At first glance it speaks joy, happiness, then when the last word falls in after the pause, it expresses sadness, fear, challenge, and so many others. I can't even find half of the words to describe it's brilliance.

i guess this was done before, or it was another song.. i dunno exactly anymore...
but here we go!

"Rest your trigger on my finger"

i think this one, it has a very deep meaning, maybe a very deep trust in someone, to let your trigger rest on someone else his/her finger...
this is truly one of my fav. lines from all songs...

rest your trigger on my finger = let me tickle your g-spot
and once he does, something will come gushing out (a bullet?)

that would be odd, if a bullet came out a vagina...
i would do a kill to see that =)

only one line?

"i must persuade you another way"

i love that line, mostly because of the lines leading up to it, making it a major turning point in the song.

"there's no love in fear" <> that's a fabulous line. When it comes to this particular version though, the way MJK sings <> "if when I say I might fade like a sigh is I stay / you'd minimise my movement anyway / one must persuade you another way" <> but then I guess it leads straight on to <> "there's no love in fear" <>so, after all that I'll just say the whole segment. It's deffinately the peak for me. This is the song that makes me Toolgasm. When MJK sings like that I can feel it in every cell of my body.

Just remember I will always love you,
Even as I tear your fucking throat away.
But it will end no other way

Personally I favor the line(s):

What are you but my reflection?
Who am I to judge or strike you down?

Although every lyric throughout the entire song brings out severe vunerable emotions within myself. This song is incredible.

Mine is personally "Choke this infant here before me". It reminds me so much of peoples every day lives. Seriously though "I must persuade you another way" is my favorite line from Salival. I dont know what it means but just the way he sings so beautifully. I may have cried the first time i heard it...but they were tears of amazement. i also like "I will always love you. As I claw your fucking throat away."

I agree about the way he sings the persuasion.. It is beautiful. But I think that whole line leads up to the next one, meaning if he says he needs to be free, but she is holding him down, all he can do about it is tear himself away from her violently...

That ending, in which MJK says he must persuade her another way if she holds him down, by "tearing" (no matter how many lyrics I read of this song, he does NOT say that) her throat away, reminds me whenever I hear it of a scene in the book The Vampire Lestat, in which daylight approaches, and Lestat knows he must escape the light that is creeping up on him so hastily, and he instinctively and almost unconsciously tears through the city until he ultimately finds comfort in a dark cellar. That blind, instricual rampage is what it makes me think of when I hear the end of this song.

"I must Persuade you another way"
The lines leading up to this line and the way he sings it definetly makes this line the climax of the song.

"And Im slipping back into the gap again
I feel alive when you touch me...
I feel alive when you hold me...
...down"
I love that part, gives me shivers :P

"Remeber I will always love you, as I tear your fucking throat away"

Yeah, pretty much sums it up between me and my ex wife.
