This song represents somthing that doesn't matter in your life. I think that most of the songs on Lateralus are all about reaching the path of enlightenment. This song is just about feeling things that are not important and then slowly becoming a better person. Sorry if this has already been posted.

Ok, I agree that Lateralus is about enlightenment and though these negative feelings shouldn't be important they are real and they have an affect on our attitudes and thoughts. I don't want to argue with you, but, to say these feelings are not important is kind of like saying they don't exist. Maybe I misunderstand you a little.

Not they they aren't real, they are indeed real, they just may not have as much power behind them than some of the other feelings.
