View Full Version : This makes jimmy's opening riff more effective.

Seriously. I love this track not because of itself, but how it transitions into jimmy. Hearing this cheesy version of the riff going straight into the real one makes it much more powerful.

hmm, not to hijack this thread but ,about your sig murph ..
"high as a wave, but our eyes are upon the ground.." ?
i always thought it was "high is the way" as in living piously . and for the "eyes" i cant tell if it really is 'eyes' or if its "lives" as in the distinction between secular and spiritual living.
anyway , intermission is a good intro to jimmy. there , atleast now the post is somewhat relevant.

It's quite inspired I think - by far the best of Tool's segues as far as I'm concerned

It's honestly the only filler track that I like, and I agree that it's an awsome intro to Jimmy

Adam is for sure ; he told in an interview he watched them in secret when he was a kid, because it was late. His music teacher played him also some kind of Monty Python music then.

I don't hate other filler songs, because like Intermission I'm sure they are all put there for a reason. But unlike Intermission, I have not put the connection as to their purpose.

Hot damn, Thats a brilliant idea! Quick, some call me! I wanna try this! ;)

edit: LOL um, in reference to the Monty Python connection... by strange coincidence, my text message ringtone is the scene from Holy Grail when Eric Idle gets the arrow in his chest...

ZOOM *arrow hit* "Message for you Sir!"

Wow, love the ringtone idea! That would be hilarious.

Have they ever played this song live? I can just imagine Nardo jamming it out on his keyboard...

lol

I drove by an asshole's house tonight, stopped, turned my lights off, blared intermission, revved it to about six thousand rpms and sped away.

i think that this is used to divert your attention and break the tension of the album

I'm very happy with that song, sometimes I feel like listening to such a music but it depends on the mood and stuff
