Hey dudes, first post here... so be kind :-)
I've got the latest issue of Modern Drummer, which lays out Danny's drum setup for the recording of 10,000 Days, but it AIN'T BLOODY RIGHT!!
I want to know what cymbal he's playing at 4:33 in the Pot.
In another thread Metlamaniac suggested it was a hihat, and I'm sure he's mostly right. Sounds like a China/Crash cymbal hihat setup - the type used alot by Mike Portnoy and Thomas Haake, but Danny's one just sounds so crisp and clear! The size of the cymbals will be the crucial thing here, and whether it's china on crash, or inverted crash inside inverted china, if y'know what I mean...
He uses it at 3:56 in Jambi too.
