My official statement on this album...

I have owned Undertow on 3 seperate occasions...Why 3?...coincidence I guess...I will not own it again...It's chuck full of good stuff and all...but its underlying themes do not apply to me anymore...The hidden track on this CD was one of my best Tool experiences ever...I did not know it was there...I had fallen asleep listening to the album and was awakened by this song...good times...

I really do enjoy all of Tools music...and I get excited when I hear songs from this album on the radio...but I will not own this album again...

Hmm...well, you're entitled to your own opinion I suppose. But my official statement on this album would definitely be...although it is my third favorite album, I still think it is such a great album. I was amazed by "Prison Sex," "Bottom" "Swamp Song" "4 Degrees," all those songs were just so intense. However, I do agree that "Lateralus" and perhaps even "Aenima" has underlying themes I agree with more, I still like the Undertow themes of religious resentment and trauamatizing experience of sexual abuse.

my first copy was ruined in a flood (!)
my second copy is still fine
and i bought my third copy because it was the double cd (unfortunitely i didn't get the second cd)

so, i have had 3 copies as well

...I don't lose them...I filter them out...once upon a time I had the most insanely large CD collection you have ever seen...It was unnessesarily large...so I try to keep my collection at a minimum...I have 1 rack now...when it gets full...I filter some out...trade them in for new ones...keepin it fresh...

Well... Undertow is without any doubt one of the best albums i own. And I think it is a CD that is worth having in the collection.

So, grrl, why don't you just keep it? It's not like you're forced to listen to it, but maybe one day you want to?

the double cd refered to is the live cd that comes with the original zoo recording of undertow. I only found ot that fact a few days ago when a friend of mine showed me the cd, seems he had been hiding it for the last few months.


Oh and question, why would you want to keep your cd collection small, what purpose does it have to not have cds that you may want to hear, its not like its ahrd to not throw away a cd. The only reason i see fit to got rid of a cd is if you buy sumthing like chocolate starfish at the age of 15 and then realise by the age of 16 that durst is a piece of shit and your very ashamed of yourself for purchasing the album.

dude....limp bizkit sux. i loved them when i was 13, i listened them the other day...they're like tool if tool sucked. they butched "opiate" when they covered it. They're sellouts who might've been good if they avoided the style and focused on the music and shit. but style overcame music...again....

but about undertow, this is definatley a great cd. i understand filtering out yur collection (to get rid of korn and limp) but undertow holds gems (crawl away, undertow, and flood) c'mon....how can u respect aenima and lateralus and not respect thier roots?
