Jacob's Ladder

Anyone know anything about the symbolism of the Jacob's ladder in the video. To me this video is just about life and how it's by nature about desensitization and that he may not want to be over stimulated but it's how we continues to feel and obviously the song is about feeling and at first it may hurt but you get used to it and that's when the real growth comes in. Everyone has big ideas about this song but damn it's mainly about feeling, though what ever you can glean from a black sun ray well go for it.

d oyou mean the jacobs ladder movie?or was that a stupid question?all i have to say for that movie is..if you have seen it..when tim is going back to the creepy mental hospital (body parts and all)there is a guy with mussles who moves his head in the same very fast way that the person in the sober video does....hmmmm interesting?
