This song is just amazing. Maynard's yells are amazing and flawless. 4:00 and on gives me chills. I especially love the chilling guitar work. "Glow, child, glow."

Fuck it's beautiful isn't it... 'under a dead ohio sky' is one of the most beautiful lines in any Tool song... from that point on it's just sublime.

Does anyone feel that maybe this song has to do with a boy named Jimmy? James Keenan, is Maynard's formal name so he was probably called Jimmy when he was a young boy. It seems that the song is based on a time in his life (11 years old or 11 as time)

It's about Maynard's mother having a stroke when he was 11.

I love when they do it live. And I don't know why, but my favorite part has to be:
"Where the hell have I been?
Sleeping, lost and numb..."
I guess it's just the way he sings it.

It's an incredibly moving song and everyone I talk to keeps telling me they don't particularly care for the song. I guess I just don't get what they're saying, because I think this song is just perfect. As the thread-starter mentioned, the song is "chilling" and you can tell it's a very personal song that is conveyed in touching manner.
