I think the misspelling was intentional. Don't know why though. My only guesses are to ward off search engines or as a deliberate sign of disrespect.

In the way Maynard says it, it sounds more like Elron than L. Ron. There's a bit of a pause when L. Ron is said because of the period. Throughout the song he is just spewing stuff without really a presentable way of singing/speaking so it's way more suited in that context.
