Of course, you could also say that they are electricity (which they are....I looked it up in a book) and therefore "stimulation", which we need because we (as a society) have seen and experienced so much shocking things, that we need an electric 'jolt' in order to feel or get any kind of stimulation, akin to a drug addiction. (I know everyone knows this already but........)
