Hello People,
A friend of mine is letting me use his account for this post. I'm an advertiser for AppleBees Restaurant and I just wanted to run something by all of you. My company is thinking about using a Tool song for one of our commericials and before spending all the effort in trying to get a contract with the band, i would like to run it by you fans to see if it's plausible.
The commercial is going to be for our Boneless Buffalo Wings and we plan on making it very widespread. Someone brought in the song "Wings for Marie Part II" off of the album "10,000 Days" because it features a powerfully sung line that goes "give me my, give me my, give me my...WINGS." Our team thinks the line is absolutely perfect for what we are looking for.
Anyway, let me know what yall think!
-George Greenstein, Applebees Advertising Division
P.S. The reason i ask is because we've heard some rumors about Mr. James Keenan, the singer, being very unnapproachable. We're worried that it may be difficult to gain rights for the song. This man would be crazy to turn this offer down considering all the money we're gonna offer him and his bandmates.
