I'm hosting a vB myself and I've made the experience that Jelsoft actually becomes somewhat nervous about hidden or cut out copyright lines as soon as a forum grows bigger.

hidden? that's just the color we chose for our copyright messages :)

well, we modified our vb quite heavily so we asked jelsoft how much it would cost to remove the copright message and it was like xxx$, so all we got for free was a "based on vb..."...
